BSOD while computer is idle SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED.

    I'm not sure what Radeon did after they made the Beta version of that driver applicable to your card. I don't know if they finalized that driver and if it's applicable to your card. At the time, the Beta version wasn't certified and they suggested using 15.7.1 if it caused the problem. I think you're probably good there and it's not causing the problem with driver verifier. Everything I can see in the logs indicates the driver is working properly.

    thats why the driver verifier issue and this issue have me absolutely stumped.

    Best I can tell is that you would need to be using the Beta version of 16.2.1. The final version isn't compatible with your card.

    The 15.7.1 is a certified driver so, if you used that, driver verifier shouldn't have a problem.

    However, we don't really know why driver verifier is choking.

    I dont know either, I dont have time today, but next week or so I will downgrade my video card driver

    Note that AMD usually recommends completely uninstalling their drivers before installing a new one. As a result, I don't know if a roll back will do the trick.
