BSOD Windows 7 while playing games!

    Hi all 1st post :),

I have just built a new system:

    Asus P5P43TD Pro Mobo
    Intel Core 2 Quad Q8300 2.5GHz
Nvidia 7600gs (Borrowing as I thought mt ATI HD5700 was the issue)

So while playing games currently DOW2 and or HL2 the screen freezes and audio loops the the system will shut down and restart, I am then told that windows has recovered from an unexpected error / shutdown.

As I mentioned above the issues first occurred while using the ATI card this has been sent back to DABS I now await for the posty to bring me a Geforce 9800GTX+ Black edition. To start off with while using the nvid 7600gs the problems seemed to stop but now have returned..... I AM CONFUSED!

I have attached the following information:

    Hi Mike and welcome

Dam fine first post. Could you upload the o rginal dmp file for us to debug? zip it and use thea attachment icon to upload. Your text and blue screen view does a decent enough job just the debugger can be data mined. first dmp seems to be caused by
dxgmms1.sys. second either mouse or memory

From what I see. I would
Update drivers, like bios, video, raid (if you are using one).
    If overclocking stop
Download and run memtextx86 fro several hours (overnight prefered)
    run a system file check
type cmd in search>right click and run as admin>sfc /scannow
Let us know the resuults and as usual if you get another BSOD upload it for us to narrow our focus.

Hope this helps in the interim

    Hi,

Just ran the sfc /scannow thing and it says:

    Microsoft Windows [Version 6.1.7600]
Copyright (c) 2009 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.
    C:\Windows\system32>sfc /scannow
Beginning system scan. This process will take some time.
Beginning verification phase of system scan.
    Verification 100% complete.
Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.
    C:\Windows\system32>

    So no issues there......

I am trying the drivers next but I am 99% sure I have done this already but I will check.

    Thanks

2 of the 3 BSOD's had involvement of the mouclass.sys driver. This driver is the Windows component of the mouse driver. As such, I'd suspect that there was an issue with your mouse or it's drivers. I'd suggest trying another mouse to see if that's the issue.

Older drivers loaded when the crashes occurred (please update ASAP):
    Code:
    AsIO.sys Mon Dec 17 04:10:20 2007 - Asus PCProbe
