All looks good so far. If you do get another BSOD post a new set of logfiles. Enjoy the faster speeds now that Driver verifier is off
How can I be CERTAIN that the driver Windows said was trying to corrupt the system is now gone?
Also, new problem: I cannot open or print PDF files that I need.
I can print using Open Office Writer just fine.
I went to Adobe and downloaded what I thought was the latest software, and the
installer ran but it won't launch the program!!

Restart the PC to see if it sorts out the Adobe installation.

I can't be certain but I have a feeling that the MicroCentre may have left the Driver Verifier on and that has been the cause of all your problems.

I had tried restarting Adobe, did not help.
I went to their website, and although I am not 100% sure, it SEEMED to say that they have been having huge problems
with the latest edition of their Reader. I'll wait and see before attempting any fixes. Meanwhile, got my documents printed with a workaround. Opened in MS Paint and just printed as images.

I STRONGLY suspect you are correct about MicroCenter leaving something in or on the machine.
I've already written to them demanding a full refund.

Thanks for your help. Gonna not shut down for a while and see if anything goes wrong here.

I created restore points, and re-installed two programs, 4K downloader and AnyVideoConverter.

These ran fine for a few hours, then 4K crashed a couple times. Went to bed with AVC running,
woke to the Chrome browser and all else frozen. NOT a bsod, just a frozen mouse.
Put fresh batteries in mouse, and even moved antenna for mouse to another USB port.
Still frozen, Had to hard reboot
and am back in Safe Mode again. Attached are MiniDump and Event Viewer logs

It was my understanding that in order to Stop the Windows Security Essentials from using up RAM, I would need to have a different Antivirus installed and running. I do, Malwarebytes. Yet I am still seeing the Windows program running. Could this cause issues?

Malwarebytes and Windows Security Essentials work together as far as I know so I am not surprised both are working. It's the combination I use to cover Antivirus and Malware.

Reinstalled 4k Downloader and AnyVideoConverter, with Restore Points.

    4K crashed twice.

Left AVC running overnight, woke to find the screen/mouse frozen.

This does not seem to be a BSOD problem any more. You might get better help by posting on Forums for 4K or AVC or contacting their support.

I will also try to contact them and to post on their forums. I quit using 4K but have not yet uninstalled it.

I have attached latest MINIDump from crash just a few minutes ago.
I was running only AVC and Chrome.
Suddenly the screen turned white with colored lines in it, and a VERY loud buzzing sound would not stop.
    I had to hard reboot.
Just now I tried to attach my Minidump and got an error saying a 'token is missing"!

Just run the log collector as described in the BSOD Posting Instructions - it will automatically find the log files for us.
