Random Crash issues, many different modules involved

Hello everyone,


More and more often lately, I get some crashes on my computer. When it happens, the computer shuts down on its own, then starts again. Before that, it shows the blue screen sometimes, but not always.


I stopped the overcloking, and I thought it was linked to some resource-consuming games, but recently, it even happened while I was only using Firefox, without any warning.


I attached to this thread the file from DM Log Collector, and here is what WhoCrashed tells about the last crashes, if it is of any use :

Hi Vakoran-

I'll throw in a possibility. Since you're getting a fatal error and the system is crashing without a BSOD, it could be that your CPU is overheating. Obvious checks are to look to make sure that the case fan(s) opening(s) are clean and that the fan for the CPU is clean and operating. You might download HWMonitor and check the temperatures.

The image didn't come through. I just look at the temperatures periodically when I'm doing something just to see if they're excessive.

I don't find the good way to insert the image, never mind : the maximum temperature I got when trying to launch many programs at the same time is 45°C for TMPIN3 I think. Doesn't seem like too hot to me, but I lack some references...

That temperature looks normal to me.

Is the OS on your system the one installed by ASUS?

I don't think so : my computer has been assembled and configured by a friend, and I know he likes to install a custom version of Windows 7.

Sorry to say but the forum rules restrict us from helping someone with a pirated version of any type of software. I don't know where your friend got his copy of Win 7 and if it is pirated. The files you provided indicate that is an OEM version.

I'm the one to be sorry if my friend indeed used a pirated version ! I hope it is not the case but I don't have the technical knowledge to make sure...


Since last week, I experienced no other crash, so I just hope it will stay this way.

I guess you can't ask your friend.
