    Hi Vineet Garg,

I think one will not be able to avoid the unwanted updates from M$( Telemetry, etc. ) if he selects to go with ''Go online to get the latest updates for installation'' during the process.
Correct, that is why it is better to update the OS after the repair install with DISM++ or SIMPLIX because neither of these include Telemetry or other undesired updates!

I also have one question : Will we be able to get updates during installation, once the M$ support for win 7 ends?
    See my comment above!

One more question : Will Repair Install with an slip streamed ISO ( with all the required updates & drivers ) be problematic? I think it should not but I am not sure! That way we can deny & avoid unwanted updates during Install/ Repair Install process & can also keep our updated drivers intact.
    Yes, it will be problematic!

    I hope this helps!

Will repair install keep updated drivers, or, else?
A repair install leaves installed programs intact, so therefore the drivers for those programs will also be left intact!

    I hope this helps!

@Paul Black : Thanks for answering one of my questions.

    But...

Using DISM++ for win 7 updates is not a good choice. Simplix is perfect!

    Hope it helps!

EDIT: To correct myself : When M$ support ( Windows Updates ) ends for win 7, At least driver support would continue. In feeble memories of Vista, I think I got driver support even after the end of support but I am not sure!

    Thanks & Regards. ...

I disagree to a certain extent!

With regard to just using DISM++ for updates, if you have a problem WU which cannot be installed using the .msu or wusa, DISM++ can sometimes come through and install it!

DISM++ is extremely good generally, but SIMPLIX is the preferred method when doing WU's!

I understand that DISM++ does not use Windows Update engine for updates so can come good at times but the automatic selection is poor. it does not select all the recommended & security updates on its own. They all are listed but not selected, so one has to dig deep or refer other resources to select the recommended updates one by one & also make sure that all prerequisites are also included/selected as well.

But I agree Simplix is the best!

    Thanks & Regards. ...

About 750MB => SIMPLIX UpdatePack [use Google to view as it translates].
