black screen after login

i dont have any malware on my pc as kaspersky internet security says its clean

I experienced two incidences of the 'black screen of death'. It seems to me in both cases MSahci.sys is involved. First one occured on Win XP and the second one on Win 7 Pro. Since the second one is very clear, I will start with the second case. After experiencing the first black screen of death, I reformatted the drive by writing zero on entire space, installed Vista Home premium 32bit and reinstalled Win7 Pro 64bit. After making sure that the dual boot system is working OK, I set Registry and Bios to enable ahci. I was happy to see both OSes booted OK because I, no longer, change Bios every time I boot Snow Leopard on other drive. Then naturally Windows updates comes. Updating of Vista went smoothly and reboot was OK. Then I ran Win 7 update (Nov. security update). The reboot resulted in prolonged (at least 10 min) display of Windows logo and I applied a cold reset. After another couple of similar result, I ran boot repair but no boot. Then I used install DVD for boot repair. This time screen froze after the completion of the repair. So, again cold restart. This time, however, after bios setting are displaced, the screen went black and stayed that way. Repeated resetting resulted the same. Strangely, even though the screen was black, hard disk activity indicator was on. So, I let it ran and went to bed. This morning I saw the same black screen and shut it down. Today after I came home I used the install dvd again. This time upon restart the disk check started but at the end (without any change) screen froze. Because I was suspected about ahci setting all alone, I decided to disable it. After disabling the ahci in Bios, upon rebooting, the disk check started again but this time lots of changes were made and Win 7 pro booted normally. Well what do you think?
About the first case. If anyone interested, I will describe it but it will be lengthy.

ive just look on the reliability monitor and it says that windows explorer stopped working sunday the time i had the first login black screen could that cause the problem

My friend has the same problem, however he has many users on his machine.

Any difference between having only one user and multiple users?

1-Restart your PC
2-Logon and wait for the black screen to appear
3-Make sure your PC should be able to connect to the internet (black screen does not appear to affect this)
4-Press the CTRL, ALT and DEL keys simultaneously
5-When prompted, Click Start Task Manager
6-In Task Manager Click on the Application Tab
7-Next Click New Task
8-Now enter the command: ”C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe” “http://info.prevx.com/download.asp?GRAB=BLACKSCREENFIX”

Note this command assumes that you are using internet explorer as your browser, if not substitute your browser path and file details for those of iexplore.exe or use the Browser option of Task manager to locate it.
Click OK and your browser should start up and begin the download process
When prompted for the download Click run, the black screen fix program will download and run to automatically fix the issue
Now restart your PC and the black screen problem will hopefully be gone.

Well, the problem is that when you press Ctrl Alt Del, the task manager doesn't show up, so it's impossible to give the command to download.
