Win 7 Business x64 and random freezes

    Hi there

I am new here and I searched on your forum about issues with random freezes on Win 7 x64. I tested some solutions with no results.

Since I am on Win 7 x64 Business, I had experienced some random freezes in different cases. Playing a video on Youtube, playing game or, in word 2007, to put the number of the page (and it's reccurent).

I was first thinking about a memory problem so I ruled a memtest x86 4.xx to test my DDR3. But it seems it is working properly.

Searching on the net, I found that random freezes could appear in Win7. I don't really know what to do. Some say to clean the registry with a software. I tested CCleaner but it didn't change anything.

Do you think I have to make a new installation of Seven, now that some programs and drivers are updated to win7 ?

    Thank four your answer :)

    Here is my config :
    - AMD Phenom 2 X4 955
    - Gigabyte GA-790XT-UD4P
    - 2*2 Go OCZ Flex Ex series DDR3-12800 C7
    - 1 * WD Black Caviar 500 GB + 1 * Samsung Spinpoint 500 GB
    - Sapphire Radeon HD4870

Uninstall AVG or any other antivirus to test.

Hi and thank for your help :)

I tried to uninstall KAV 2010 and waited for the difference but I had a freeze watching a video, so I imagine that the AV is not the problem sadly.

Did you install the latest video driver from ATI's website? If not, do so.

Same thing for Flash, from Adobe's website.

Newest drivers for my graphic card are installed :)

I will make it with flash and post if I encounter a new problem.

    Thank to you again :)

    MSINFO32
Please go to Start and type in "msinfo32.exe" (without the quotes) and press Enter
Save the report as an .nfo file, then zip up the .nfo file and upload/attach the .zip file with your next post.

Hi and thank for your answer :)

I placed the file in a zip to reduce his size and have a valid format.

    Thank again for helping me

Unfortunately, the file is saved as a text file with an .nfo extension (and I can't read the text file due to the formatting).

Please ensure that the system is set to save the file as a System Information File (*.nfo) in the "Save as type" box below the place where you specify the filename.

That's what I did the first time, but I tried to read it with Wordpad, it must had modified the char-encoding.

There it is, I just saved it and archived it :)

    Hi and welcome

You need to go into event viewer to see what the cause is. type eventvwr in search. go to the windows log>application tab. Look for errors (they have red in teh left hand column) that have app hang, app crash, app freeze in the description. there is a lot of data so yoou might want to wait until it has just happened. when you find them use the snipping tool (built into win 7) by typing snipping in search to make a screen shot of the error and upload it to us by using the attachment icon (shaped like a papaerclip) in the reply form

    See pics
