    Registry Smart & Windows 7

I had an interesting problem regarding Registry Smart. This program claims to work with Windows 7. I hadn't used it since I was running Vista and decided to see where I stood with this program. I scanned the computer and had about 470 problems according to Registry Smart. I went ahead and fixed it removing all the "proposed" problems. When I tried starting my computer the next time it would not start and I had to work at it recognizing the installation disk so I could use the repair start up program on Windows 7. After that it was okay. All of the "problems" according to RS were back. Needless to say I didn't do that again. Has anybody used this program with 7 and experienced these same start up problems and if so what did you do?

We do not recommend the use of Registry cleaners. I have been the victim of damage to the registry caused by registry cleaners on several occasions.
Here's an article about Registry cleaners that was written for XP (but it's still valid with Vista and 7): XP Fixes Myth #1: Registry Cleaners - Windows BBS
