DxDiag not able to retrieve any informations

    Hello,

I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate (32). I wanted to run DxDiag to check for problems but it is not able to retrieve any informations about my system. It keeps displaying errors such as :

"Error: Problems while getting the base display informations"
"Error: Problems while getting the base audio informations"
"Error: Problems while getting the base EVR informations"
"Error: Problems while getting the additional display informations"
    "Error: Problems while getting the
    additional audio informations"

These may not be the exact messages in english as I'm translating them for a french OS.

I tried installing the August version of DX but it did not solved the problem.

Can you help me please ?

    Thanks.

    Gildas

    Can you help me ?

I forgot to say that I'm able to get a DxDiag.txt file. I added it as an attachement.

    Hi.

Did you install Windows from the official DVD from Microsoft? If not, that's your cause.

    Hi, thanks for answering.

Yes, I installed it from an official DVD ISO downloaded from the MSDN website. It is activated.

Hi, thanks for answering too :)

I'm sorry but I don't understand what you mean.

I installed the latest NVidia drivers from NVidia WebSite, WHQL version for Windows7. Same for the NForce and Realtek drivers.

This may not help, but surely can not hurt. Open an elevated command prompt. Type:

    sfc /scannow

    and hit enter.
