    Netio.sys bluescreen

    Hello

I have had a lot of BSOD's lately apparently involving netio.sys. Happens when I download or surf the internet. Very annoying. Does anyone have a clue what to do to resolve the problem? Dump-file attached. (This is a dump-file from two days ago as the one for today could not be saved due to the fact I had 0 MB free disk space at the time.)

Hi. There's no attachment. You can use the paperclip while editing a post.

So add that. In the meantime, update your networking driver and uninstall any antivirus and/or firewall to test.

Install the latest driver from for Windows 7 here:

Are you using a wireless router? Id suggest you go to Start > Run, and type sfc /scannow.

I updated my network driver to the newest one from Realtek. Hmm, is it safe to uninstall antivirus (Eset Nod32) and firewall (ZoneAlarm)?

ZoneAlarm is the cause of the crash.

Install this instead as I have been testing for months and it's great.

Completely uninstall your original one. You can backup the settings in it first if you want.

Hmm, alright, but I don't really need the Extreme Security version as I already have another anti-virus program. Maybe I should look for alternative products?

That is Extreme Security I linked you to yep. It's solid and latest version just updated. Install that if you'd like. If not, fine too.

Just make sure you uninstall the one you have now and bsod will stop.

    Enjoy.
