windows 7 keeps freezing

    windows 7 keeps freezing


    hi all.. i installed windows 7 ultimate yesturday,

    but since then it randomly freezes..

    and the only thing i can do is to use the power button to turn it of and on again..

    my specs are if it helps..

    intel core 2 cpu 6400@2.13ghz
    ram: 2.00gb

    32 bit operating system.

    Hi Dixon

    Next time it happens type eventvwr in search. got to the windows log>application tab. You need to look for errors (they have red in the left hand column) that say app hang, app crash, or anything relevant to the problem.

    When you find them and there will be many. use the built in snipping tool (type snipping n search) to make a screen shot and upload it to us using the attachment icon (its shaped like a paperclip) see pics

    hi, its just happend again..

    here is what you requested

    but today it was diffrent, that blue screen popped up with white writing then it restarted..

    hi guys,i have the same problem(random freezes in windows 7 x64),so i attach the event viewer report and my sys specs

    dixon,how many ram slots do u have?if there are 2,try to inverse them in slots.i did this and it looks like it's working now:)

    There is only like a million reasons for random freezing. I tend to look at the bios settings or memory adjustments for such problems but it can be so many things.

    hi, it has only done this since i installed windows 7..

    it did it before i installed norton so that cant be the prob... i have just swapped the memorys over as requested - will see if that helps.

    gave it a clean now the fan is constantly on.. the joys lol
