HP DV9000, Win7 64 bit, freezes often - event id 41 & 3
Hi guys,
Having a maddening problem here. I'm using a HP DV9000, 2gb of ram, intel centrino duo, nvidia geforce go 7600.
Installed win7 64 bit ultimate (clean install) at start of Jan 2010. No problem at all until about 4 days ago, when the computer would freeze at random times. First the mouse would be sluggish & unresponsive, unable to click on any buttons, then the mouse would lock up entirely. No response to ctrl-alt-del or any other keys, have to to a hard shutdown.
I've looked for c:\windows\minidump to attach, but the directory/file doesn't exist, probably because I don't get as far as a BSOD?
i've tried removing all problems from startup, no improvement. Frustrating, on the verge of kicking this laptop out the door!
Checking event log reveals these items; any help or advice on any further info to provide appreciated!
