    Uh-Oh!

I made a big mistake. I was trying to clean out some files from my hard drive, and I deleted my windows.old folder. (Previous os was vista ultimate). Immediately after deleting, my computer blue-screened, and now I can not get into windows, It just goes to the windows recovery.

Any ideas? When I was deleting the folder a message came up that said deleting a certain file may affect the computer but I said yes anyway, I'm guessing that was it. I was just thinking that I could get away with deleting all my "old" files from windows vista. On a differnt note, before It was deleted I did transfer the windows.old file to an external hard drive, but I still do not know where to go from here.

If you have a copy on an external HD hook both up to another pc and move it back.
It probably has your drivers inside it.

Try booting with the F8 key to select safe mode with networking, then try a system restore to a date before you made the changes...
