Help & Support Window Keeps Starting

Downloaded BitPim for my cell phone. Unable to load BitPim due to missing MSVCP71.dll. Downloaded dll, BitPim ok. Now the help & support window pops up for everything, even one click on the start button. Uninstalled BitPim entirely including registry strings. Unable to delete MSVCP71.dll associated with BitPim to no avail. Noticed HelpPane.exe service in task manager. Stopped entire process tree and the help window still starts. Downloaded the same program on my laptop with Win 7 but not the actual MSVCP71.dll to make the program work. No problems yet as of this post. No HelpPane.exe service either in Task Manager. What gives, this is really annoying.

At first glance, it looks like you may have picked up a Trojan.

I suggest scanning with a good Anti-Trojan program.
"Trojan Hunter" is a very good one and works 100%, even during the 30 day trial period.
I use it often for cleaning up really "Dirty" PC's.

    Good Luck and Happy Holidays!

I would tend to think that something has remained behind. I would check all startup entries with StartupCPL and also in services.msc, to see if anything that appeared to be related is found.
