    BSOD Every Morning Windows 7

    Hi There

I have recently built a new desktop, of which the specs are attached.

I have tried almost everything I can think of to fix this, but need help with more ideas.

Basically my PC crashes every morning when I turn it on within the first 5 -10 minutes. I generally get 2 BSOD's and then it runs fine for the rest of the day. I have attached the last 4 BSOD minidumps which all appear to point to ntkrnlmp.exe.

It runs Windows 7 Professional 64 bit. I have updated all drivers and have no conflicts. I have updated the BIOS (F4) and chipset, including ethernet driver. I have checked the RAM setting. Spec said 8-8-8-24 and BIOS indicates 9-9-9-24 which is fine. I have changed the DRAM Voltage from 1.5 to 1.66 as recommended by Corsair.

I have run memtest but only for a few hours with no errors. Currently I have pulled out one stick of RAM and will see if that helps tomorrow.

Any suggestions that could be causing this would be appreciated.

All BSOD's Have the same code..... MEMORY_MANAGEMENT and code 0x000000001a

    Thanks in advance

I've been noting problems with the Gigabyte GA series of boards (similar to the Asus P5 series). It seems that there are special voltages/timings/settings needed for the RAM. Check with Gigabyte and Corsair for the suggested settings.

I would start the memory test with the first boot in the morning - that way you'll replicate the conditions that occur during the BSOD's. Let the test run all day long - and maybe even overnight. The longer the better in this case. If you get any errors, it's OK to stop the tests immediately. Once the memory test is done with no errors - please don't change the settings unless you discuss it here first.

Another thing to try is to boot directly into Safe Mode the first thing in the morning. If this is a system service issue (as I suspect) then the boot into Safe Mode should work without issues.

Also, these older drivers are on your system:
    Code:
    timntr.sys Fri Sep 12 10:49:48 2008
    tifsfilt.sys Fri Sep 12 10:50:44 2008
Please uninstall Acronis True Image, it's possible that the older drivers that it uses could be causing the issues.

    Thanks usasma for your reply.

I have been running well for the last 36 hours on 1 stick of RAM, so I swapped that stick for the other this morning after booting up successfully this morning.......and guess what, W7 went straight into BSOD on starting, so I a guessing that the RAM is the issue....have contacted supplier for a new set.

Also, thanks for the info on ACRONIS.....I will upgrade to their 2010 version which they clain as W7 compliant.

Will come back if both these action are unsuccessful after a few days operations

    Appreciate the help
