Windows 7: Windows 7 x64 Home Premium/PLEASE ASSIST

Operating System
Windows 7 x64 Home Premium/PLEASE ASSIST

I'm a beta tester for Windows 7. However, I'm only doing the 32-bit on a dual-boot OS with Vista x64 Ultimate as my primary "daily driver" OS.

I'm helping a friend... however, we keep getting what seems to be a notorious and extremely common BSOD error message.

Essentially, we can simply log on or open a browser, for example, and it will trigger the BSOD message. Nothing truly triggers it specifically and the Event Viewer at MMC.exe is of little assistance (event ID's and codes not yet defined by Microsoft.)

The BSOD error message reads as (no quotes, of course) "system_service_exception"

I'm creating this as a fresh thread as to get some decisive bottom-line how's and why's that may have triggered this and, moreover, how to solve it.

Truth be told ,it's so frequent, I'm considering reccomending a reformat, although it's a "best practice," of course, to understand these things.

Any input w/ regard to this would be most appreciated.

Regards, and thanks in advance,
