    Computer Freezing

I am having a problem with Windows 7 freezing. It will do it at any particular program running the mouse still moves and sound continues to work however you cannot change windows or close programs. If you hit CTRL ALT DEL and try to start task manager the screen turns black. It comes back after 2-3 minutes like nothing happened.

In order to find out what is causing it you need to type eventvwr in search. go to the windows logs>application tab. Look for errors (they have red in the left column) that have app hang, app crash, etc. when you find them and there is alot of data. Use the snipping tool to make a screen shot and the attachment icon to upload it to us

    Thank you

The event ID 1000 source 100 is usually caused by DEP. date execution prevention is to prevent virus and apps from launching in protected memory space. Located in cpanel>system cpanel>advanced>performance>DEP. defaut is set to MS service only. You can either except the apps causing giref or even turn it off. tutorial is here DEP - Enable or Disable - Vista Forums

the other look like VSS and backups. think the most important problem is theevent ID 1000.

Let me know if you need help
