Hello Graham,

Your network adapter might be causing the wakeup. Try going into Control Panel>Device Manager. Find Network Adapters, and right-click on it it select Properties. Go to the Power Management tab, and make sure the both boxes are unchecked.

Hope this works,
~Jonathan

Is it a recurring problem? If not, we might as well let it go. If it persists, we can try to take care of it.

I have the same problem

I've been trying to track down the cause. I saw someone mention something about a sql update trying to install. I do have sql express 2008, but don't know if that's it. Googling for SQL and update leads to plenty of non-patch info.

I do get the time notice every time it starts. I've looked into Wake events and Task Scheduler stuff (which I would like to know a way to just view all scheduled events without having to click through each type).
