Windows Won't Shut Down
I upgraded Windows 7 from Vista Home Premium a few weeks ago, and have had this problem ever since.
Whenever I try to shut down Windows 7, it tries to shut down for about 10-15 minutes, then goes to blue screen of death, then restarts. No data is lost when it boots up again (at least none that I know of), and most of the time if it does this, I simply hold down the power button to shut down instead. I want to shut down Windows the proper way and I know the method I've been using is damaging to the computer.
When it boots up after blue screen a notification pops up that states "Windows has recovered from an unexpected shut down", and I get these details:
Problem signature:

I'm using Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit on an HP Pavilion Slimline computer.
Other Problems:
Some applications take an unusually long time to start, or wont start at all (Specifically Winamp, but I recently upgraded it and its working fine, for now)
After about 30 min - an hour with the computer some programs have trouble starting, similar to the one stated above. Ex) I plug in a USB flash drive, and nothing happens, and windows explorer stops responding.
Sometimes after i come back from the screensaver, the toolbar and Icons will have disappeared completely.
Note: The above problems may have been fixed recently due to upgrades in software, and changes in personalization.
I mainly want help on the shut down problem.
Thank you in advance.
