Reinstalled windows 7 but have a different problem now on the windows loading screen it just restarts but doesnt get stuck any more and i have to go to run windows normally a few times for it to work. Also a few days ago i run the windows memory diagnostic tool overnight with no problems at all.

I dont see how it could be a memory problem anyway as alot of people are having pretty much the same problems.

For loading screen sticking I'm not sure what the problem might be, maybe the harddrive.

You might try to clear the cmos and see if that changes anything. Assuming you know the correct procedure for that. Will the machine start up normally in safe mode?

yeah works fine when i try safe mode. but i never really try safe mode when i first turn on as i try different things to fix it hoping it has worked and restart a few times then works fine which is annoying.

Also i did check in the bios the other day i think my memory was slightly overclocks so i set that back to normal hoping that would fix it. But i dont think that was the problem anyway with it working fine until updates.

How exactly would i clear the cmos ??

Most likely it's just a small push button near the bottom of the motherboard, usually says CMOS next to it in small letters. You need to hold that button down for a few seconds.
It could also be a plastic tab that you need to move back and forth accross three pins,. most likely will be the button though.

Be sure and power off, unplug the power supply and drain power by pushing the restart button before hand. You might want to record some of the settings in bios in case of them are specific to your set up. Defaults aren't always the correct settings. You may need to reset the bios clock as well.

If that doesn't fix it the first time then try another reinstall and see if that helps. You may have had some memory corruption going on who knows.
