    Freeze at "Windows Starting Screen"

    Hi,

I have had Windows 7 on my computer for over a month now, I have had no problems other than a Wireless networking adapter driver issue. However over the last couple of days the OS has been playing up, the main thing that has occured is a BSOD idicating a graphics problem. However earlier on today it finally gave up, now I am stuck. The Windows 7 repair system indicates no issue, and I cannot fix or upgrade the OS from the cd. I managed to get it to work fine in safe mode, with networking allowing me to download a update for my graphics card; still No success. So now I am completely stuck in Safe mode as the only working part of the computer, and I will only do a clean install as a last resort!

Cheers in advance for any assistance!

To try and get the problem sorted the repair system completed two system restores, so i cannot find any information related to the BSOD, I personally do not believe it is relevant as I have had a BSOD for my GC before and after a simple restart everything was fine. So I was just posting it as an event in the last day.

Right ok In simple terms it is my Graphics card (hardware) or the Drivers. The actual card works without the drivers, but with them it doesn't work. I have downloaded the latest nVidia drivers from their website, but with no success. I cannot understand why the drivers could corrupt the hardware when active, unless it is Windows 7 causing a problem. I need help please! I have done everything I have thought of!! I have elimated everything else, so this has to be the problem!!

Solved: It is my graphics card.

The card will function by itself with no drivers, but when Win7 finds drivers and installs them it will restart and become corrupted! So in simple terms no graphic drivers = no graphics card! So I need to buy a new one!
