    windows 7 right Click miss!?

i've been facing this weired right click issue since the beginning of vista and somhow it made its way in to windows 7.

basically what happens is when i right click on an icon it doesn't open up the appropriate context menu Rather opens up the other 1 which is suppose to open when u ri8 click on an empty space.

Although i cant reproduce the issue willingly but it tends to happen every now and then. The more probable area is Local Area connection icon.

take a look at the attached picture below.

This sounds like a shell problem with Windows Explorer.

Did you upgrade to Win7 from Vista?

If so, then try these 2 things:

1 - open up an elevated (Run as administrator) Command Prompt and type "SFC.EXE /SCANNOW" (without the quotes) and press Enter.

2 - Use this free program ( ShellExView - Shell Extension Manager For Windows ) to disable all non-Microsoft shell extensions.
