Additional RAM causes CRASHES!!!
Hello forum,
I just bought the Patriot Viper Series PC2-8500 1066MHz 2x2GB and added it to my existing 2GB of Muskin HP2-8500 RAM to make a total of 6GBs. My current RAM setting was 5-5-5-15 2.1-2.2v, which is what the new RAM had recommended as well. The system had crashed twice since running both sets of RAM...
Can someone please tell me if these RAM sets are compatible or is something wrong with my Bios settings. Any help to get my system stable and running will be greatly appreciated!
My current system is as follows:
Gigabyte pa-p35-ds3r
QQ6600 2.4GHz
EVGA Ge-Force 8800GTS
Mushkin 2GB HP2-8500
2x Seagate 500GB 7200
Corsair 620HX
My Bios settings is as follows:
DRAM CAS# Latency: 5
DRAM RAS# to CAS# Delay: 5
DRAM RAS# Precharge: 5
DRAM RAS# Activate to Precharge: 15
DRAM TRFC: 55 (Refresh to ACT Delay)
DRAM TWR: 6 (Write to Precharge Delay)
DRAM TWTR: 11 (Rank Write to READ Delay)
DRAM TRRD: 4 (ACT to ACT Delay)
DRAM TRTP: 6 (Read to Precharge Delay)
Static tRead Value: Auto
Static tRead Phase Adjust: Auto
Dram Voltage: 2.0 (2.0-2.2v)
I have also attached the minidump file.
Thank you again for your time.
