Tried the F8 option, still wont boot correctly...

Pretty sure a no go on the tiled, since PC crashed and booted back up with the screen like that; and I only get 6 full tiles and the 7th and 8th are cut off at the bottom.

I am somewhat of a novice...so please be patient with me...

    yes'um

on the off chance I did tile on the restart (although it was giving me error issues on reboot), how do I turn it on/off? After almost 3 yrs with my laptop I have never done that...sigh, I feel like an idiot.

try uninstalling the graphics adapter from the device manager and reboot , let windows find or load a driver for it ,then if the os loads a standard vga driver and everything is ok download the latest mobile nvidia driver for your card , all the experts are busy at the moment but someone better qualified than me will be along shortly

Think I am just going to try a fresh install, only had Win7 for 3 weeks now, everything is backed up on the entertainment PC.

lol...did that while sitting here reading the forums (I was trying to find a similar issue before posting), still gave me the same answer "windows could not repair your problem..."
And you are of great assistance, cross checking me, to make sure I am following procedure is a great value. =)
