    Hi and welcome.

    boot.ini is from WinXP and I don't think is used in Win7.

    Typically, the Boot.ini file contains the following data:

    [boot loader]
    timeout=5
    default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(1)partition(1)\WINDOW S
    [operating systems]
    multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(1)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Micro soft Windows XP Home Edition" /fastdetect

    I think you need to help us by telling us more.
    Have you recently installed Win7?
    Is your computer setup as dual boot OS? WinXP and Win7?
    Have you recently restored from an image?

    Please help us help you.
    Thanks
    Iggy

    Have you tried booting from the Win7 disk and try a repair?
