internet explorer, skype, itunes not responding

    Hi,
I'm having a few problems with my new Dell laptop. It's only 5 days old so I havent done much with it. I installed all the software which came with my laptop (microsft office, norton 360). I also downloaded skype, google toolbar, itunes and avc video converter (which I found on this site). But today I noticed that when I open windows explorer and try to play a video on youtube or dailymotion the window stops responding. Then I tried to open itunes but it wont open. Now skype is not responding either. Everything else seems to be working no problem. Could this have something to do with any of my downloads?
I appreciate any help with this problem.
