dllhost.exe Memory Leak
I have a Windows 7 Professional laptop with an Xbox 360 connected to it via the Media Center Extender function.
When I try to play a video file from the laptop on my Xbox, a process called "dllhost.exe", owned by the user "Mxc1-(COMPUTER NAME)" starts taking up all my RAM until it uses all 3GB of it, crashing the entire system. I have also experienced my system locking up in the same way without the Xbox, but I have never been able to check for the source, since I cannot even start the task manager anymore when it happens.
I have already tried googling for this problem and possible solutions, but I cannot find anything.
Does anybody here have an idea what might be going wrong and how to fix it?
