    .exe files-explorer.exe crash

When I open or right click certain .exe installers on my windows 7 machine, such as the latest chromium snapshots it shows an "Explorer.exe has stopped working message", forcing me to close it. This same message stops me from deleting them. To install and delete them, I must use safe mode. I would like to know how to fix this. Thanks.

Try this free program: ShellExView - Shell Extension Manager For Windows
Use it to disable all the non-Microsoft shell extensions and see if that helps.
If not, post back and we'll suggest more.

I had the same problem and it was a virus so i'd run a full scan.
