Start by replacing your nVidia video driver. Uninstall the current one, then download and install the latest one available from Welcome to NVIDIA - World Leader in Visual Computing Technologies

Also, Please update or remove these older drivers that were loaded at the time of the crash. Don't use Windows Update or the Update drivers function of Device Manager. Please use the following instructions to locate the most current drivers:
How To Find Updated Drivers:
- search Google for the name of the driver
- compare the Google results with what's installed on your system to figure out which device/program it belongs to
- visit the web site of the manufacturer of the hardware/program to get the latest drivers (DON'T use Windows Update or the Update driver function of Device Manager).
- if there are difficulties in locating them, post back with questions and someone will try and help you locate the appropriate program.
Here's the older drivers:
dne64x.sys Mon Nov 10 20:01:24 2008
SFEP.sys Fri Aug 03 01:35:53 2007
Please post back if there are any further BSOD's

Hi usasma,
first of all, thank you very much for your reply! I fixed the old drivers but i was not able to install the recent driver of NVIDIA GeForce GT 230M. I downloaded every possible driver from their page, but setup.exe always tells me that there is no hardware found for this driver.

Any ideas? I also contacted sony vaio support, but no reply yet :-(

Thanks and regards

Did you try this one: NVIDIA DRIVERS 195.62 WHQL
If it doesn't work, then try the one from the Sony download site.
Laptop video is a bit different than regular video.

The process is the same:
- download the latest one from the website
- uninstall the one on the computer
- install the one that you downloaded
