    Is there a way to set this thread to "solved" or can we not do that on this forum? I've done it on other forums, I think and can't remember if it was this one or not.

    Just click on the "report" icon and in the message just write "solved".

I have a blank laptop that im trying to install an OS onto. Im trying to run ubuntu 11.10 off a 2 gig thumb drive thats been converted as a bootable drive. when the laptop is turned on and it goes to load windows it tells me the boot manager is missing please press cntrl alt delete to restart....
