    Windows Explorer keeps on Crashing?

    Hi,
I run a 32 bit Windows 7; I was running too much programs at once and then there was a blue screen, saying my computer has crashed and it will restart; when it restarted, a startup repair program started for an hour, and then the windows explorer on my 7 keeps on crashing and restarting perpetually. However, this does not happen in safe mode, how can I fix this? Thanks!

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

A clean boot will let you discover what is causing the problem. Once you find out we can help restore it.

Also type event viewer in search and report to us on what it shows.

I tried following the clean boot steps; I first unchecked all of the non-windows boxes, then half, then the other half - all of them continues to have the same problem. After, I clicked on event viewer but it says the service is unavailable, thanks.

    Hi Wby, Welcome to SF,

If you had the Blue screen then crash and reboot then it BSOD. You could post us the Dump file so we can find what is going on. Check this link for instructions for posting the dump file

The minidump folder has a lock on it's icon; does it mean that there are some files I can't access?

Nope .. Its just system folder .. You might need to Take Ownership of that folder then copy it paste it on to your Desktop. Then zip it from there and post it

    Hope this helps
