go into the bios and look at the health monitor section and see what the voltages are in there speedfan may have an issue with the sensors on your board

The +12v is at 4.84V - that's just not right. But I wonder how the system could work this way.
Ensure that you follow the steps in the manual: http://www.corsair.com/_productmanua...50W_Manual.pdf

I hooked up a multimeter to the corsair psu. It gives steady readings of 12.2 v for the 12v rail, and 5.14v for the 5V rail. Then checked the voltage settings in the BIOS, and the readings were correct. I guess speedfan doesn't connect with the right ports or something for my mobo. Wiring is hooked up right, and everything seems to be running fine. Except for the RAM. I know the PSU is good. Been running memtest. Here are my results...

Im thinking, maybe need to tweak settings for stick 1, and stick 2 is bad. Any ideas where to go from here? Things to check?

try upping the voltage to the ram if your using all 4 gigs sometimes you have to play around with that the 1.5 to 2.0 volt range should be ok maybe try 1.9

Alright. Right now I am only running one stick at a time, so 2 gigs. upped the voltage to 1.9 volts, and now i just get errors within 3 min. Loosening the timing, same problems. dropped the voltage to 1.5, same problems. I swapped the first stick back in(which before was getting 1-2 errors/ 14 hours), and now it errors out in 2-3 min. This is just confusing the hell out of me. Motherboard problem, maybe? What are your guys' opinions?

voltage range on your CPU is 0.875V - 1.5V try raising the CPU voltage speedfan said 1.31 volts there if that is accurate try a setting of 1.5 just to see

alright, I have tried both sticks numerous times in dimm slot 1, and the results are inconsistent, and full of errors. This time i put stick one in dimm 2. To my surprise and enjoyment, 20 hours, 34 passes, and not a single error. So my guess is that I have a faulty dimm slot on the mobo. Gonna try to rma it.

So, i'm back. I sent my motherboard back to msi. I was sure it was because dimm 1 and 2 were faulty. I got a new board back, and surprise, MEMORY ERRORS!!! Went through the process again of manually setting timings, trying different sticks in different dimms. Finally got some sticks working in some dimms. Got both sticks in, working fine, booted up once for about 20 minutes, and then errors. Ran memtest again, and now I am getting errors with the exact same settings and sticks in the same configuration. Is it time to return my processor? Please help.

given the memory controller is on the CPU then yes it could be a bad chip, but before you RMA the chip I would want to be certain it wasn't simply due to incompatible ram ?

to check this I suggest download and run CPU-Z select the memory and speed tabs then post a screenshot here ?

then look up the ram make and model on the MSI compatible list Attachment 62626 ?

I would also recommend stressing the system with only one ram stick installed by running prime95 ?

let us know how it goes
