One other note I did run memtest all night two nights ago and it came up with no problems. I have also scan system files three days ago with no faults

OK, this last one is a STOP 0xC5: DRIVER_CORRUPTED_EXPOOL
As it's a pool corruption, it's an ideal candidate for one of the tests used by Driver Verifier. This presumes that we've taken care of the other problems with the system (and that it's not a hardware issue).

If you're unable to find updates for them, please use this free program (look in the Drivers tab) to disable them while we're testing: Autoruns for Windows

Then, please follow these instructions for using Driver Verifier:

Using Driver Verifier is an iffy proposition. Most times it'll crash and it'll tell you what the driver is. But sometimes it'll crash and won't tell you the driver. Other times it'll crash before you can log in to Windows. If you can't get to Safe Mode, then you'll have to resort to offline editing of the registry to disable Driver Verifier.

So, I'd suggest that you first backup your stuff and then make sure you've got access to another computer so you can contact us if problems arise. Then make a System Restore point (so you can restore the system using the Vista/Win7 Startup Repair feature).

Then, here's the procedure:
- Go to Start and type in "verifier" (without the quotes) and press Enter
- Select "Create custom settings (for code developers)" and click "Next"
- Select "Select individual settings from a full list" and click "Next"
- Select everything EXCEPT FOR "Low Resource Simulation" and click "Next"
- Select "Select driver names from a list" and click "Next"
Then select all drivers NOT provided by Microsoft and click "Next"
- Select "Finish" on the next page.

Reboot the system and wait for it to crash to the Blue Screen. Continue to use your system normally, and if you know what causes the crash, do that repeatedly. The objective here is to get the system to crash because Driver Verifier is stressing the drivers out.

Reboot into Windows (after the crash) and turn off Driver Verifier by going back in and selecting "Delete existing settings" on the first page, then locate and zip up the memory dump file and upload it with your next post.

If you can't get into Windows because it crashes too soon, try it in Safe Mode.
If you can't get into Safe Mode, try using System Restore from your installation DVD to set the system back to the previous restore point that you created.
If that doesn't work, post back and we'll have to see about fixing the registry entry off-line.

Hi again , I did run it for awhile earlier today but nothing happened I was still lokking for updated drivers and I found one for my touch pad, I installed it and then I kept getting a message at startup to run the program. I thought it was weird so I uninstalled it. Then it would not reboot and I could see quick images of a blue screen and it would reboot. Went in in safe mode took out all remaining touch pad drivers reinstalled the original from the acer recovery program and it now seems everything is back to normal. There was no dump file from the few bsod I saw, any reason why? I will now restart verifier and wait and see what happens.

Run Verifier for at least 36 hours of constant use (an estimate on my part)

Hi again , just an update, with verifier running it would not boot. Only into safe mode could I get in. Realized I could not spend forever tracking this down as too many updates and programs had been put on so I did a system recovery from Acer Erecovery. This does a clean install from the hidden partition and wipes everything out. It worked really good and I got back to a new system with the default drivers and programs. This time I slowly installed items I knew I would use and set a system restore point for every program install.I did not put any new drivers in from windows update only updates to programs.I am running Microsoft Security as I liked from my pevious run with it,althiugh I may install NIS 2010 later.All has gone fine so far until I ran system burn in.It did run fine and had no errors, but after I restarted the computer after the test Windows performed a CHKDSK, now I do not know if that was requested from the program but I found it strange. Everything still seemed ok, then I installed VLC player It gave many errors when trying to view an MKV. Because it was so unstable I uninstalled it. I then did a reboot and the computer seemed to not run quite as well, maybe nothing just a preception. I then shut it off for the night. This morning I booted it up and I was missing the Microsoft Security icon on the taskbar. The program was still there and running just missing the icon. I ran a quick scan and all was ok. Went to restart as i figuire it was just a glitch and while it was shutting down I got a blue screen. IRQ MORE OR LESS, after the restart I looked for a dump file but none was present,must have been to far shut down. I then went back into system restore restored from the time I installed burn in and that also covered VLC player as they were done the same day. Sytem restore went ok. The computer seems to be working really good again,cross my fingers. I ran SFC/ SCANNOW and no problems found, as well as a full sytem scan with Microsoft Security.Now any thougths on what has happed and could VLC player cause this error.

System was runnning good yesterday and most of today, then I just had a blue sceen while uploading to a web site and surfing. I have included the minidump file, please if someone can analize it for me it would be greatly appreciated. I suspect a driver. I will run driver verifier as of now to see if that will help.

Set Verifier as per instructions and the computer would stop at the starting windows logo. Rebooted in safe mode went into msconfig and told it not to load synaptics driver. Rebooted fine and the touch pad is working, any ideas.

No blue screens so far but it has gone to a black screen once and I had to do a hard reboot, no dump files, and like I said before it would not boot up with verifier on unless I prevented synaptics touchpad software from loading. Any thoughts on that single dump file I sent in two posts ago. i am getting to wits end on this on, I think my next move is to rma back to acer
