put in one stick at a time and run test till yo find the faulty stick
put in one stick at a time and run test till yo find the faulty stick
Could also be MB (but most likely ram) check each stick seperately to see if only one gives you a prob and find a good stick and try it in all MB slots to check they are all ok
like Pauly said could be a board issue but most likely it's ram the only way to know for sure is to check one stick at a time until you find one that puts up errors
I do not think I have the time or the patience to test every single one. I will buy new ram, return that one and I will try... I have until the 29 of january for them to receive the unit back for a refund so I wont take achance. If this is the mobo fault after, I will need to deal with ASUS wich is going to be easier than dealing with g.skill who didnt answered my after 5 days of requests...
Do you guys think it can be incompatiblity problem ?
I must mention thant when we built the system in the first place...My bro did a mistake and and plugged a PCI express pin in the 4-^pin mobo for the power. The system would not open of course...it showed power in the mobo but nothing would open.
Do you think it could have damaged something related to the ram ? We we're thinking it would probably not damaged anything since nothing opened up and then everything worked fines...
I'm not sure what do to do, except changing the ram...
that depends on how he plugged it in what pins went where from that plug so yes it's possible but since it is working it's probably ok just sounds like ram go to Asus website and look at approved ram for that board some boards are picky about ram
Hi, Im the guy that have builded the pc of manowar2 :)
PS:Im not good in english sorry :)
I have two ask about this problem
The first ask
Could we think the problem can be only compatibilty board
We know, DDR2 DDR3 its a standart, but some model is not perfect with some board spent several years
In the website of GSKILL
The mem is Not Qualified Vendor list
QVL
ASUS Rampage Extreme
ASUS P5E3 Premium
ASUS P5E3 Deluxe
ASUS P5Q3 Deluxe
ASUS P5Q3
ASUS P5P43TD
ASUS P5P43TD Pro
But Why P5E3 PRO was not listed...
Change brand can be way ? Like kingston Hyper X
I know, normally is not very important because we can get any RAm for any board today and all its okay.
But i would like to get opinion about that
Second ask
All hardware is new...
But an error have maded when i built the computer
I made fault when i plug P4 wire plug of mobo,
I dont have put the good wire i have plugged 6-pin wire.. ( for video card)
The computer does not start.
Protection electricity was here in the board but can be damaged the board
What is opinion about that

The last ask
We know Memtest got good reputability
Can we say its same accurate with hardware tester and software tester ?
What is difference ?
Alex
in order to minimize potential problems it's always best to use ram qualified for your board and make sure all Bios settings are correct for voltage timings and speed.
Also just because something is new does not mean it's good I get defective parts shipped to me more than you could imagine.
there is always potential for damage when you plug in the wrong power connectors be very careful about that.
if you are in doubt RMA board plain and simple
