Don't have permission to modify files in this network
About four out of five times when I try to save a file from any program (I see it with Firefox and Photoshop the most because I use both programs often), I get the message:
You don't have permission to modify files in this network location. Contact the administrator per permission to make these changes.
After I agree to that message and try again, it will always work the second time (I do have to overwrite over the file that was created when the message came up; the first file is always empty, but it does sit at whatever folder location I am saving a file to).
I tried all the methods of this tutorial and it did not work. My UAC is currently set to the lowest bar (so it isn't on), and I am on the only user account and am sure that it is set to have full privileges.
This has been the case since I started using Windows 7 (I made a clean installation; had Windows XP previously) when it was first released.
Any thoughts? I have searched on Google.com at least 20 times over the last few months, and have tried a lot of different things, to no avail. In one search, I found out that someone else has the exact same problem I do, as described at http://www.smartcomputing.com/QABoar...p&qapg=1&guid= - I also get the same iTunes error message).
Thanks,
Vic
