    winows 7 crash while idle

I have a new Dell pc with Windows 7. I have already had to reinstall windows because of conflicts but even before I did that my pc would crash, but it only crashed when I wasn't using it. If I was away from it for 20-30 minutes I would come back and find it had rebooted and there was an event log.
I have looked at some of the events and they have to do with PrintService and something called wininit and one Critical Kernel Power event plus a number of other assorted errors.
I have installed a printer and have installed a wifi network on it plus installed a new dvd\cd rom drive.
Any suggestions for solving this issue?

    Thanks

    Welcome to the Forums pursuant.

Can you go to C:/Windows/Minidump and see if there are any dumps in there? If so, copy them somewhere, zip them up, and attach them here please.

Thanks for checking, I appreciate it. I had a chat with Dell about this issue and did a hardware check on it and it came up with an error, as a consequence they are replacing the hard drive. I don't know if this is overkill or not. I have had them replace the memory and the dvd drive so far on this 3 week old machine, maybe I got a lemon?
