Vista worked fine, no issues.
Clean build - Windows 7 x86
No new software installs
Starts freezing randomly regardless of App or Action
Safe Mode also affected
All errors in the event log indicate the source is "SideBySide"
what event ID # are you getting with the sidebyside errors
download Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Package (x86) it should take care of the sidebyside errors

My system also started "freezing" about two weeks ago. I do a ctrl-alt-delete
click on task manager does not highlight, then does highlight and I click cancel.
I went in the Event Viewer per your suggestions and also have the sidebyside
errors like lDreams is having with an event id of 80. Time that it last happened though was this afternoon at noon and this has happened since then. I will keep an eye on this thread for further developments.
Thanks
here is what turned up for event 80

rbassman98003 did you try the C++ download for your event 80 here is the link for 64 bit version
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en
the Event ID: 6281 are you using any Zonealarm software
I am not familiar with Zonealarm... Not installed in Programs and Features... I have a job running right now
then I will try the C++ download.... Seems like it only freezes when no activity.. has not happened last 3 hours but I have had a backup running...
