    Vista worked fine, no issues.

    Clean build - Windows 7 x86
    No new software installs
Starts freezing randomly regardless of App or Action
    Safe Mode also affected
All errors in the event log indicate the source is "SideBySide"

    Same Problem

My system also started "freezing" about two weeks ago. I do a ctrl-alt-delete
click on task manager does not highlight, then does highlight and I click cancel.
I went in the Event Viewer per your suggestions and also have the sidebyside
errors like lDreams is having with an event id of 80. Time that it last happened though was this afternoon at noon and this has happened since then. I will keep an eye on this thread for further developments.

    Thanks

Have not had this happen this evening and it has frozen once. Another error that is occuring regularly in the Security section is an Audit Failure

    Log Name: Security

    Event ID: 6281
    Task Category: System Integrity

This has happend 145 times in 1 1/2 hours. Always the same error message. But again, it just happened and the system is not frozen. Very strange....... Any suggestions??

    Thanks

I am not familiar with Zonealarm... Not installed in Programs and Features... I have a job running right now
then I will try the C++ download.... Seems like it only freezes when no activity.. has not happened last 3 hours but I have had a backup running...
