    Windows 7 Keeps Freezing

I have been running Windows 7 for a few days now but its driving me mad. Every so often the system keeps freezing. It happens when I am browsing the internet, playing a game, watching a video, and using applications. No warning or error, just instant freeze and I have to hard-reboot.

How do I find the fault?

    Easy
type eventvwr in search. go to the windows logs>application tab. look for errors ( they have red in the left column) that have app hang, app crash, etc in them. there is a lot of data so you may want to wiat till the next time it hangs. When you find them use the built iin snipping tool (type snipping in search) to make a screen shot and attach it to the attachment icon (its shaped like a paperclip) and upload it to use.

    see the pix.

All these errors in the "applications" tab says the sources is "SideBySide" whatever that means?

Activation context generation failed for "C:\Windows\WinSxS\x86_microsoft.vc80.mfc_1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b_8.0.50727.762_none_0c178a139ee2a7ed\MFC80 .DLL". Dependent Assembly Microsoft.VC80.MFCLOC,processorArchitecture="x86",publicKeyToken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b",type="win32",ver sion="8.0.50608.0" could not be found. Please use sxstrace.exe for detailed diagnosis.
