Using Driver Verifier is an iffy proposition. Most times it'll crash and it'll tell you what the driver is. But sometimes it'll crash and won't tell you the driver. Other times it'll crash before you can log in to Windows. If you can't get to Safe Mode, then you'll have to resort to offline editing of the registry to disable Driver Verifier.

So, I'd suggest that you first backup your stuff and then make sure you've got access to another computer so you can contact us if problems arise. Then make a System Restore point (so you can restore the system using the Vista/Windows 7 Startup Repair feature).

    Then, here's the procedure:
    - Go to Start and type in "verifier" (without the quotes) and press Enter
    - Select "Create custom settings (for code developers)" and click "Next"
    - Select "Select individual settings from a full list" and click "Next"
    - Select everything EXCEPT FOR "Low Resource Simulation" and click "Next"
    - Select "Select driver names from a list" and click "Next"
Then select all drivers NOT provided by Microsoft and click "Next"
    - Select "Finish" on the next page.

Reboot the system and wait for it to crash to the Blue Screen. Continue to use your system normally, and if you know what causes the crash, do that repeatedly. The objective here is to get the system to crash because Driver Verifier is stressing the drivers out.

Reboot into Windows (after the crash) and turn off Driver Verifier by going back in and selecting "Delete existing settings" on the first page, then locate and zip up the memory dump file and upload it with your next post.

If you can't get into Windows because it crashes too soon, try it in Safe Mode.
If you can't get into Safe Mode, try using System Restore from your installation DVD to set the system back to the previous restore point that you created.
If that doesn't work, post back and we'll have to see about fixing the registry entry off-line

Ok, I did exactly as you said. I let my pc boot and it BSOD after a few seconds of loading windows, I noticed that rivatuner was causing the BSOD but I knew that wasn't the cause of my problems as I have only been using it for a few days to monitor my sytem, so I disabled it and let windows boot again.

I let windows boot a few times and asacpi.sys came up every time. I have attached my full minidump folder anyway, so hopefully that helps.

The dump file are bascially referring to ASACPI.sys while running AiNap.exe

( Ai Nap Part of the "Ai Suite" utility supplied with some Asus motherboards. "With AI Nap, users can instantly snooze your PC without terminating the tasks. System will continue operating at minimum power and noise when user is temporarily away")

According to John It is the Asus ATK0110 ACPI Utility. Most often it's the 2005 version that has BSOD issues with Windows 7 but in your case its from May 2009. But still download it from the website.
Once you download the utility, unzip it and navigate to the 64 or 32 bit folder (depends on your OS version).
Then double click on the AsAcpiIns.exe file and let it install.
If there's not a listing for this utility (for your motherboard), then try the Asus PCProbe or the Asus AISuite - as the driver is contained in there also

Update the drivers for copperhd.sys Wed May 24 09:21:13 2006 - Diamondback USB Optical Mouse (Razer)

    Hope this helps,
    Captain

    Thanks again.

I updated both of the drivers but still have the problems. I have just done a clean boot to see if my system crashes with just microsoft drivers loaded. I will report back if it still has the problems or not, but it's really starting to look like a hardware problem that I can't find.

Has capt jack asked you to run driver verifier?

I think you should try this:

Test your memory using this free diagnostic: Bootable Memory Test Diagnostics - Vox

I had been having very similar problems, I know every system is different but this was the solution to my headaches.

It all started with 0x50, 0xA bsods.. tested the RAM and it showed no errors.. then tried many other things, thought it was my mobo, graphics card, hard drive.. all ok.. 3 days ago I checked my RAM again following the link above and found that one of my RAM sticks is bad.. took it out and no more problems!.

Oh by the way I had trouble while having Avast! antivirus with Win7.

    Hope this works
    good luck.

Yes just look above your post :)

Thanks davskies, but I have already tried that. To be honest it really sounds like a memory error but I have tesetd my ram with the windows 7 memory testing tool and memtest 86+ and not been able to find a real problem.

Also I am only using microsoft antivirus and I don't think that is the problem. This is a fresh install and I am having the same problems I had with my old install which I was running avast on.

Ok I have uninstalled all of the asus utilities except for asus update as they are non essential and I don't use them. I only installed them when I installed the new motherboard.

I also changed my wireless dongle, I don't know why but at the moment I am trying everything I can.

I am using my pc as normal and I will see if anything has changed :)
