    BSOD and Minidump report please help


    well i removed spysweeper and installed microsoft security essentials, the problem seemed to be fixed. i turned my computer on and the bsod happened with the first 5 minutes of the computer being turned on.

    I would download and run memtestx86 for 5 passes.

    i havent done any overclocking, and i will run that program and tell you the results.

    I downloaded memtest86 4.0 burn it on to disk and rebooted, I let it run for about 20 minutes it was at pass 45 and it had not found any errors, so i stopped it, i seen options to change the test but ive never used this program before. did i run it the right way ?

    If you ran memtestx86 for 20 mins and it was at pass 45 there is something wrong. either you are running the simplest test or something else. A 5 pass run for memtest should take over night'

    could you tell me which test to run, when my system rebooted it started running automatically, but i did see options to run test 1 through 9?

    You should be running all tests. Please provide a link where you got the test from (so I can try it myself)
    I've had some issues with the 4.0 version myself - but it's never asked me to select the tests!
