Windows 7 BSOD's

Hi!

I have just bought Windows 7 around three days ago and I am having some troubles with the bsod.
I have no idea what may be causing it, sometimes my pc will randomly turn off every 40 minutes and sometimes it runs for almost 24 hours.
I had Windows xp 64bits for a couple of years (running on the same system) and never had any major problems.

I already tried re-installing my Windows 7 (I lost my original .iso) but it turned out to have the same problem, so I really don't know what it can be.
I noticed on the first install though, that whenever I was running STEAM, my OS would crash in 10-30 minutes.
I have two hard-drives: the master that runs my OS has 297 GB and a secondary that was formatted under XP that has 931 GB.

If you want some more info just ask for it and any sort of help will be greatly appreciated.

It's currently on the 22nd Pass and more than 10000 errors.
Sorry for my N00biness, but I think I'm doing something wrong here.

Should I post a screenshot of these partial results or what? Still running the MemTest on my machine.
What should we do now?

any errors means bad ram or bad ram\mobo combination, I would suggest take out all sticks but one and run the test again , then repeat with each stick etc ......

seems we're getting somewhere here.

I have two sticks of 2Gb each and I did exactly what you did.
With the first stick I got more than 130 erros on the first pass, however with the other stick (on the same mobo slot) I'm currently at 20% of the second pass with no errors so far.

What does that mean? my 2Gb are fried, dirty?

Is there any way to solve the problem by maybe cleaning the circuit board or some other trick?

you can clean ram by wiping lightly use rubbing alcohol but be careful, and remember STATIC can kill your ram too avoid touching the metal contacts and make sure your grounded first :)

You can try blowing the slot out free from dust but currently it suggests one stick is bad , so you would need to RMA !

As bob said all the dumps point to memory corruption and we have memtest86 confirming you have a stick that produces errors

confirm the good stick can run in both slots too ?

You may also want to test both memory slots with the good ram to make sure ut us the ram and not the memory slot on the mobo
