"Windows is starting"...to be a pain. System shuts down

I saw this issue raised a few times, but wasn't exactly like mine.
My machine started randomly shutting down after having the RC version about 6 months, to the point where it wouldn't even start anymore.
So, I reformatted that partition and went to install W7 pro.

Now, when I get to the "Windows is starting" screen he whole thing consistently shuts down.

I've updated the BIOS, played with the BIOS, bought a new DVDRW (power issues) still shuts down.

Any other suggestions other than buying a whole new machine with it pre-installed?

Thanks a Mil

Have you tried running start up repair three times? (as th first go might not get it)

Also, have you tried loading your vidoe driver?

This is definitely a hardware problem. You may have a disk error in your system. Go to your bios. See if there is a memory or disk checker in there. If there is run it! The randomly shutting down problem could also be because of a problem with fans. CPUs will automatically stop and shut down as safety against overheating.
In addition, try disabling various hardware from your bios and see whether a change in results will happen.

Minotaur, I haven't tried the video driver. This is a brand new HD. I haven't even formatted it yet.

Capella, as I said, this is a brand new HD. I upgraded the 120gb to two 500gb's.
I don't see many options to turn off mobo hardware. Like what?

Diskcheck said this drive is A-OK and the fans seem to be running smoothly.

Go ahead and run Startup Repair. Hopefully that is all it needs.

Try disabling various components like network lan, wireless card, ram sticks, etc.
Im pretty sure this is hardware related though, Jonathan

This may sound dumb, but wouldn't you need network and RAM?

Ok, I got a couple issues ironed out, but still am having the shut down at start up.
I'm running a GeForce 6100MM v1 (AM2 64bit) motherboard. I'm assuming it's either that (a bad mobo) or a bad power supply. However, the power supply is only a couple months old.
