    Windows Explorer keeps crashing

    My windows explorer keeps crashing.
The computer loads up fine, i then logon to my account and it then becomes really hard to navigate around.
If i open up a web browser (using google chrome) It never loads and i simply just get a message telling me to end the process and when i do it deletes the whole of the explorer.exe so i have to restart.

For people who want the story:

Last night my computer shut down maliciously
I got home saw it had shut down, loaded it up and apparently i had to recover my account. Not having any recovery restore points or discs i had to reformat it back into its original state. After that the computer finally started working, lost a lot of files but whatever.

About 30 minutes in, i downloaded a file called 'TeamViewer' which is a remote assistance program. I've used it many times before and norton didn't pick up any virus on it.
I ran the .exe file to install it and then everything which i stated above starting occuring, explorer crashing, nothing loading etc.

    How can i resolve this?
    I'm currently in safe-mode.

Thanks to anyone who takes time to post and help.

    Welcome!

Try looking in the Event Viewer>Windows logs and see if anything is recorded.

How long has this been happening?

    Security: 259
    Setup: 0
    System: 1028
    Forwarded Events: 0

Is it possible you have a virus? Download Malwarebytes and do a scan.

Read my post above and yes i'll do that now. Is it possible to do that in safe-mode? Im on safe-mode with network settings just don't want to overload safe mode.

Look in application and system logs, and see if any warnings or other significant entries are there.

    Alright
    Theres 2 warnings in application

    The sources of those are:
    Winlogon and Search

Theres tons of Information and a few 'Errors' all sources of the Errors are for 'Application Error'

    Inside system logs
Theres alot of errors for 'Service Control Management' and a few for 'atapi' and 'DistributedCOM'

I'm doing a full-scan right now aswell btw.

Have you tried uninstalling Teamviewer and double check whether it works fine without it or not. Test that and let me know
