After Sleep Mode, Laptop powers on but screen does not

I know I'm new here so thanks for taking the chance to read this

I put my laptop in sleep mode before leaving to starbucks.
I open my laptop and press the power button
The internal fans start turning as well as the disc drive, but the screen remains blank.

I have heard that Windows 7 has multiple issues with the sleep mode, and I'm pretty sure laptop is now stuck in hybrid sleep??

Also, I noticed that there is a hotfix for this provided by microsoft, but I would have no way to use this since my computer cannot get stuck out of this. After Researching this, I heard some people taking out the battery and holding the power button down for 30 seconds, then running it off of a/c power. This too has failed me

    Any help would be great,
And Thanks again for reading this post.

    Welcome!

Is this a recurring problem, or did it happen once and you still power on the screen?

If you can use the computer, I would recommend updating your graphics drivers.

I have no access to the computer or windows whatsoever.
This is a reoccurring problem and happens everytime I start the computer.

Can you try updating your graphics drivers?

Like I said, That isn't possible because I have no access to windows or any power at all to the screen.

You may consider taking the machine into a repair shop. It sounds like your screen is dead. Can you confirm this by trying to navigate in the dark? For example, try typing your password in. Does it register?

The screen isn't dead. I know that for a fact..
I'm almost sure it's a software issue because of the fact that I put my laptop into sleep mode.

The Drives Spin, There is power to the laptop, but it does not make any processes (ex. the traditional blinking light doesn't blink even though the power light is on.)

Try taking the battery out to simulate a power loss and then start it. Should try and start normally then.

    Tried many times..
What I've been researching is that there is a 30 second fix that people with HP laptops that have similar problems are using
Baiscally you remove all power, battery and AC hold the button down for 30 seconds, plug ac back in and start up.. I have tried this over 10 times and yet again it still just turns the fans and moves the cd drive.

I must confess I do not fully understand your problem. When you reboot it, it does turn on, right? It only gets stuck with the screen off if you put it in sleep, am I correct?
