    Need Help Analyzing a minidump

Hey I just need some help diagnosing an issue.

Every now and then i'll get a BSOD when just surfing the internet (it usually happens when i'm in firefox, not sure if it's happened with IE). I've followed the steps outlined on microsoft's website for reading minidump files and they all point to 'ntoskrnl.exe' with a IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL error. My research shows that this could be a variety of things, including bad hardware. I've ran memtest for a few hours and everything passes and I've also run the IntelBurn test and my computer passed that as well.. I don't know where else to go now to try to diagnose this issue. I've included the 5 previous minidumps including the BSOD that just happened.

    Good problem solving!

You should also try starting up command prompt (right click, run as admin) and type:
    sfc /scannow

    Hey Lordbob,

I hadn't thought to try that. I ran the command and everything came back normal

Then I recommend also testing your memory: Check your RAM

Also, can you post the dumps like this please?

    Hey Lordbob,

I've already checked my RAM with both memtest and an IntelBurn test (which uses Intel Linpack) and both passed but I'll give it another try when I get home tonight just to make sure. And I've re-uploaded my minidump files according to the post you linked to. The ZIP file is in the OP

I ran Memtest 86+ v4.00 for 6 hours last night and each test passed. This happened again the other day when I was surfing the internet in Mozilla. I'll post the minidump when i get home. Anything else that would be worth while to try?

Had a look through your dumps and all report error 0xA BSOD Index

All but one of the dumps blame driver vfilter.sys for the crash which is part of the VPN software your using, the driver is dated before win7 was released so may not be 7 compatible, recommend you update or remove VPN client and replace

You have some old drivers on your system i would recommend updating or removing these, i looked a few of them up for you

GVTDrv64.sys 05/09/2006 Gigabyte mobo driver (not sure for what)
    RivaTuner64.sys 17/07/2007
    seehcri.sys 09/01/2008 Sony ericsson driver
s0016cr.sys 24/04/2008 Not sure about these
s0016wh.sys 24/04/2008 Not sure about these
s0016cm.sys 24/04/2008 Not sure about these
AODDriver.sys 13/10/2008 Part of AMD overdrive software
vfilter.sys 16/01/2009 Part of VPN software

    Hope this helps
