Windows 7 crashes
Hey,
I upgraded my 64-bit vista system to windows 7 home premium. I bought the software from windows rather than the manufacturer.
the concern:
normally if i let my computer sit idle for some time, it goes to stand by mode within 2 or 3 minutes. however of late, i am seeing that rather than going on stand by, the computer just freezes: the screen is off, the light is running and no matter what I press on keyboard, it stays in that mode. Basically I have to manually shut it off and restart the computer then. Has anyone seen this occur with their computer and if yes what did you do to solve this issue?
just as a footnote i must mention, that i had reformatted my computer to its factory conditions and upgraded immediately to windows 7. That is I did not get the most recent hardware upgrades from the manufacturer for vista, althought I did get all the windows upgrade. Do you think my keen ness to get 7, has gotten me into this problem?
Thanks,
your help will really be appreciated.
oh yeah i forgot to mention that I did not do clean upgrade and also when such instances happen my anti-virus tells me that it was trying to get an upgrade but it failed..
