Based on past experience I believe one stick is bad. Test each stick in each slot one at a time. Hopefully it is the RAM and not a slot. If the test fails with the same stick, no matter what slot its in, its the RAM. If the test fails with both sticks, but only when in a particular slot, the slot is bad.
If it is a RAM stick, I recommend the replacement be the same speed as the good stick. Some times using two different speed sticks can cause instability, i.e. BSODs.
