How are all these device connected? Is there a USB hub? Is it powered or unpowered?
Have you tried disconnecting all of them to see if that stops the errors?

USASMA, thanks for the reply. Yeah, that's what I'm concerned about, "all the stuff before it" re the CBS.log. It certainly didn't give me the impression all was well with my PC's soul. :)

The reason I mentioned the USBHUB.SYS file was because in the first response posted by Ken (aka Zigzag3143), he wrote, "These were both caused by your usbhub.sys."

I'm still having the nightly BSOD and yesterday it happened twice. This is getting really annoying. Thanks again. So far, after about 2 months, going to Windows 7 was the worse thing I have done (with the exception of Windows ME).

I would still like to know why the SCE.Exe scan was not able to solve my problem. Do you know how to read the CBS.log?

And Ken, I have no idea how to obtain and install the usbhub.sys file?

The USB devices connected are:

Epson Perfection 3170 Scanner
Epson Stylus Photo R260
Apple Keyboard
Logitech Mouse
Logitech headphones
Filemate Modem
Sandisk Imagemate 8 in 1

When the computer is unattended, I also get a an occasional deep and rather loud pop coming from my speakers. My dogs think someones at the front door. :) Something seems to attempting to bring the computer out of dormancy.

Through many decades of experience & suffering from computa glitches - your non-recovery from Hibernating etc is also caused by 'incomplete' buggy Graphics drivers!

You just have to wait till Nvidia/ATi get their act together(and fix the problems under the hood - on the quiet! )

Your usb modem gets good reviews on Newegg - but many are pre-Windows 7. Try unplugging it.
A programme may be trying to phone home thus waking computer, you can kill that off in the modem section in control panel setting "never connect automatically"

PS My WIN 7 keeps crashing with a Graphic Driver caused "black screen"/auto-recovery.
This has now minimised to a few a day with the new ATi Graphic driver update to Catalyst 10.2!
