    Random freezes, crashes.. help, please!

Hey everyone, I've been plagued with a computer problem since building my new setup and seeing as I am in the middle of college classes (with much of the work on-line), these random crashes and problems are becoming more and more devastating.

My problems are random freezes and shutdowns. No BSOD's, the computer will just randomly freeze with the screens frozen in place, mouse pointer and all, requiring me to usually shut off the power supply.. sometimes the power button works fine.

Or the screens go black and it reboots.

    What I've tried..

    sfc /scannow - no errors
Prime95 running for hours - no errors
memtested sticks of ram - no errors
    re-installed windows
wiped current ATI drivers, put on apparently more stable 9.12 and hotfix
disabled onboard sound, put a creative card in with up to date drivers
all drivers are up to date

I've been browsing thread after thread over the internet, trying -everything-.. and no luck. Below is my system, with the latest error reports.. ANY HELP would be greatly appreciated.

Oh, another note.. very often when accessing web pages, I get 'this server cannot be found' and have to spam refresh until the page loads. My roommate on the same internet connection is not having this problem.. my ethernet, onboard, has up to date drivers.

Also, I seem to have a odd amount of 'screen flicker' for such a beefy, insane, video card. In youtube videos, hulu and in some games.

if you say no BSOD then wheres this minidump from ?

I would at this point suspect your PSU is insufficient ?

When my monitors went dark and it rebooted, it generated a dump file, so I guess it was a BSOD I didn't see, sorry for the misunderstanding.

I've wondered about my power supply to, but shouldn't that 600 watts be more than enough?

well it's a difficult thing to accurately gauge as power supply manufacturers vary in how honest they are about the output figures , A top quality branded PSU is normally as stated with a little headroom and a cheap and cheerful is often well under the stated Wattage, and to complicate things it's really about the amperage it produces on the 12v rail

I suggest go here and calculate your minimum requirements, then post back here :)

I would also recommend doing some research on the memory you've installed and the BIOS settings of the particular motherboard. I resolved a similar issue (with a BSOD code 124) because the BIOS default memory voltage for an ASUS P6T Deluxe V2 was not enough for the memory chips installed (Corsair Dominators).

    Good luck!
