    Slow startup after problems

    Hey!
I've been using windows 7 ultimate for several times now...
Yesterday my hard disc's cable was loosen, so windows didnt work properly.
I ran all startup repair tools - nothing worked. the computer didn't come up.
my friend told me it might be that my cables are loosen, so i looked and there it was!
since then, every single boot is extremely slow, the windows sign is shimmering for 2 minutes, the windows is freezing, when I hit menu, it loads for a minute etc. I should mention that several minutes(10 minutes) after startup, the computer works properly.
I have use in my computer for 30 minutes during morning. That kind of startup would be unbearable.

How can I fix the problem?

    Thank you!
